Hi, and welcome! I’m Yazmin Bonet, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I’m so happy you’re here.
I provide individual therapy in person in Lake Worth, FL, and virtually throughout the state of Florida through my practice, True Resilience.
The name True Resilience reflects what I believe therapy is truly about: finding strength within yourself, even during life’s most difficult moments. Resilience is not about avoiding struggle or pretending everything is okay; it is about learning how to move through challenges with courage, self-compassion, and authenticity. True healing happens when we allow ourselves to be honest about our story and trust that growth is possible on the other side.
I believe reaching out for support is one of the bravest things a person can do. Life can feel overwhelming at times, and you do not have to navigate it alone. My goal is to create a warm, gentle, and judgment-free space where you can show up exactly as you are—whether you’re feeling anxious, stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change.
Together, we will work through life’s challenges, celebrate your progress, and help you move toward a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and aligned with who you are. Therapy should be a place where you feel heard, valued, and empowered.
I earned my Master of Social Work from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2023 and continue to expand my clinical skills through ongoing training and professional development so I can best support the people I work with.
My professional background includes working with diverse populations across the criminal justice system, providing strength-based, client-centered care for individuals navigating mental health concerns, substance use, emotional distress, and major life stressors. This experience has strengthened my passion for helping people build resilience, find healing, and reconnect with themselves.
I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, substance use concerns, anger management, and stress-related difficulties. My therapeutic approach is tailored to your unique needs and goals, using evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), strength-based therapy, and client-centered approaches.
I believe healing happens in a space that feels compassionate, authentic, and empowering. I welcome the full range of emotions that come with being human: joy, sadness, fear, anger, uncertainty, and hope. My goal is to help you strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and create lasting positive change while feeling supported every step of the way.
